Injection Device Improves Efficiency, Accuracy, Comfort
By Lisette Hilton, Contributing Editor
According to expert injector and dermatologist Robyn Siperstein, MD (Boynton Beach, Fla.), lack of precision is a reality for aesthetic providers who perform neurotoxin injections. “No matter how good you are, it is impossible to deliver precise amounts of Botox every time,” she stated.
However, a seemingly simple device is changing that. The FDA-cleared NavaClick™ Injection System (Lineage Biomedical; Stuart, Fla.) features a metered-dose syringe that delivers a precise aliquot with each push, or click, of the plunger. Injectors using the system say it improves efficiency, accuracy and comfort with any brand of neurotoxin injection.
The device’s 33-gauge needle allows for a much less painful treatment, and the “clicking” often distracts patients, making it a more soothing treatment, according to Dr. Siperstein. “With NavaClick, I am confident I can give reproducible results every time,” she asserted.

Better Outcomes
As a direct result of NavaClick’s precision, Dr. Siperstein reported that she not only achieves consistent results but also a reduced need for touchups. There is less neurotoxin waste, and patients tend to experience less pain and less bruising compared to conventional insulin syringes, which use larger needles.
Manufacturer Lineage Biomedical recently released results of an IRB Study that show more than 80% of participants experienced less pain, and more than 90% had either no bruising or less bruising than with other injections.
“I have return patients requesting only to be treated with NavaClick and nothing else,” Dr. Siperstein noted.
The NavaClick Injection System features color-coded grips that align with three common neurotoxin reconstitutions to deliver precise doses with each audible, tactile push of the plunger. One click is one unit.
Best Practices
Dr. Siperstein loves to use NavaClick when injecting the lower face – such as the upper lip, marionette and chin – where she prefers small aliquots. “I also love using it to gradate the amount in the forehead with stronger doses at the top and lighter doses toward the brow,” she added. “I will often do three clicks in the top row, then two clicks in the middle and then one click on the bottom.”
NavaClick’s needle-free reconstitution system is compatible with all neurotoxin brands, including 100-unit vials of Botox (Abbvie; Chicago, Ill.), Jeuveau (Evolus; Newport Beach, Calif.), Xeomin (Merz; Raleigh, N.C.) and most saline bottles. The smaller 13‑mm vial adapter supports Daxxify (Revance Therapeutics; Nashville, Tenn.) and Dysport (Ipsen; Cambridge, Mass.), providing injectors with flexibility regardless of their product or dosage needs.
A Line Extension
Early in 2025, Lineage Biomedical launched a line extension, featuring an improved NavaClick syringe with different grip colors to coordinate with different reconstitutions. The blue grip is optimized for a 2-cc reconstitution, while the green delivers .025 mL per click (the on-label recommendation with most neurotoxins). Finally, the pink delivers .01 mL per click. Reconstituting 1:1 can be challenging to do manually, and the NavaClick gives injectors mechanical control to make tiny drops with precision.
The ability to use other reconstitutions while still having each click deliver one unit delights Dr. Siperstein.
“It gives us more options,” she commented. “We now have options for any way we decide to reconstitute so that one click is still one unit.”
